Having just returned from eight wonderful nights at the Apulit Resort in Taytay Bay, Palawan, we stayed at The Manila Hotel for four nights, 7 to 10 March 2017. We were fortunate to be upgraded to the Executive Floor – floor 15, though the additional benefits were never fully explained to us.
The hotel is lovely, as you would expect from a hotel that has been around for over 100 years. The history associated with the hotel was one of the reasons that I chose to stay here, other than its high TripAdvisor rating. The room was lovely and large with a nice view over the sea. The bathroom was nice too, though we were only given one thing of shower gel, shampoo and conditioner.
The hotel is nicely located as well, right alongside Intramuros. You can easily walk to Rizal Park too.
Do yourself a favor and have drinks at The Tap Room – so much history associated with this pub inside the hotel. The range of cocktails is good and you will have an enjoyable evening.
