Siamtara Sunset Sailing: Pirate Dinner Cruise from Hua Hin, Thailand

All Aboard. Welcome to the Siamtara Pirate Boat Dinner Cruise sailing off the coast of beautiful Hua Hin in Thailand.

Whether you are a resident of Hua Hin or visiting for a relaxing vacation, the Hua Hin sunset dinner cruise will take you on a journey to explore the stunning coastline of Hua Hin. Setting off from Pranburi’s Racer Marina at 4PM, your journey will take you through the narrow waterways before you venture out to the Gulf of Thailand to marvel at the beautiful coastline of Hua Hin, Khao Takiab and Khao Tao.

This is not your ordinary sightseeing boat. It’s a full-on pirate ship experience that mixes fun and relaxation with stunning views of the Gulf of Thailand. The moment that you step onboard, you are greeted by a friendly crew dressed in pirate gear which instantly sets a playful mood. The ship itself is decked out in themed décor, giving you the sense that you’re about to sail off on a swashbuckling journey. There is even a plank that you can walk for a chilling dip into the warm waters of the Gulf of Thailand. This pirate boat is about relaxation, sunbathing, cocktails and good food, all designed to make your afternoon off the coast of Thailand a memorable addition to your vacation.

The cruise takes you along Hua Hin’s picturesque coastline, and seeing the town and surrounding bays from the water is a completely different perspective. There are plenty of open-deck spaces on which you can relax, take in the sea breeze and take photos while watching the coast or distant islands. Perhaps you will even spot dolphins playing in the wake of the boat, though we were not lucky enough to do so.

One of the highlights is when the boat anchors in a calm bay alongside a quiet island. Guests are free to jump into the clear waters for a refreshing swim or borrow one of the onboard kayaks and take a paddle around the boat. The Gulf here is reasonably calm and inviting, making it enjoyable for both beginners and seasoned swimmers. I wanted to try ‘walking the plank’, which I did, followed by a relaxing glass of wine while getting to know fellow travelers.

Back on deck, it was time for dinner while anchored in the bay. A selection of delicious Thai dishes with fresh fruit will restock the energy levels before you settle for a chilled beer or evening glass of wine. Sipping a cold drink while gazing out at the turquoise sea really drives home the ‘holiday mode’ feeling. The added bonus of watching the sun dip below the horizon is a truly magical way to end the day.

Before long it will be time to head back to the port, but not before exchanging contact details with new friends and promising to stay in touch for perhaps another dinner cruise around beautiful Hua Hin. The Siamtara Pirate Boat Cruise is suitable for single travelers, like me, families, couples or groups of friends. For me, it was one of the most memorable activities in Hua Hin, striking the perfect balance between adventure and relaxation. If you’re looking to spice up your time on the coast, this pirate ship adventure is well worth adding to your itinerary. Consider making your booking by clicking in the box below.
