Georgie’s Gastro Lounge: Casual British Cuisine in Hua Hin

Recently opened not too far from the beach, and close to the Hua Hin Fishing Pier, Georgie’s Gastro Lounge adds another option to your dining pleasure in beautiful Hua Hin.

Serving delicious food, based on traditional family recipes, Georgie’s is set to become a popular dining choice in Hua Hin. Located in the bustling Chomsin Road (Soi 55) that leads down to the beach, Georgie’s is ideally placed to capture the dinner crowd, perhaps those looking for a home-cooked British meal or local Thai favorites.

You cannot go wrong by heading to Georgie’s for a hearty breakfast. The ‘Full English’ will be a popular choice. You can even design your own breakfast, selecting from the different menu options and combining your favorites to get your day off on the right foot.

Perhaps you would like to select from their ‘All Day Comfort Food’ menu, selecting something like the British Indian Curry. Perhaps the MotherMe Signature Chicken Tikka Masala is more to your liking. Otherwise, the Bacon Butty or the Roast Chicken may be more to your taste.

Satisfy your sweet tooth by rounding out your meal by with either the Baanoffi or the Strawberry Sundae, both of which will leave you feeling a little guilty for the number of calories in which you just indulged.

Catering to both vegetarian and non-vegetarian diners, you are sure to find something on their extensive menu to satisfy your craving for traditional home-cooked food.

Not only does the restaurant serve great food but the welcoming atmosphere is what sets Georgie’s apart in Hua Hin. Designed to capture an atmosphere of vintage British charm, with personal family touches discretely placed around the restaurant, you will feel right at home from the moment you arrive to the restaurant.

The music, with an overtone of light jazz or other inspiring playlists, will have you tapping your feet as you settle into your meal. There are even plans to occasionally transform the restaurant into an early evening dance room, with a special music selection and cool lighting adding to the chilled vibe.

Soon, there are plans to convert the area above the restaurant into a cigar bar or speakeasy, though perhaps not quite as fancy as the Speakeasy Rooftop Bar in Bangkok.

I suspect that Georgie’s will become a popular dining spot in Hua Hin, attracting both locals and expat’s looking for a chilled place to socialize and wind down the evening. Since Georgie’s closes at 10PM, it serves as the ideal dining destination before heading out for post-dinner entertainment, perhaps choosing Bar Tigre close to Khao Takiab.

Parking close to Georgie’s Gastro Lounge can be difficult. What I suggest is drive to the end of Soi 55, right to the fishing pier. There you can park for 40 baht in the vacant lot close to Buffalo 23.
