Henann Prime Beach Resort: Calm Comfort in Station 1, Boracay

Set along the quieter, more refined stretch of White Beach, Henann Prime Beach Resort offers a refined yet relaxed base for exploring Boracay. Located in Station 1, it sits just far enough from the busier heart of the island to feel calm and spacious, while still being within easy walking distance of restaurants, bars and the livelier energy of Stations 2 and 3 further down the beach. It’s a resort that manages to balance location, comfort and atmosphere in a way that feels effortless.

When I was choosing between hotels on Boracay, I wanted to capture the serenity that I had when I visited Buri Rasa Resort on Koh Samui in Thailand: close enough to the bars and restaurants yet far enough away from the late-night noise when I wanted to sleep. Henann Prime Beach Resort turned out to be the ideal choice.

The resort is divided into two sections: the Beach Wing sits directly on the sand of White Beach while the East Wing is located across the small road that runs north to Puka Beach. A short walk across the road connects the two sections of the hotel.  The Beach Wing is naturally the more desirable option, especially for those who want immediate access to the sea. Rooms in the Beach Wing feel more connected to the beachfront setting, and those on the ground floor offer direct pool access, allowing you to step from your private terrace straight into the water. It’s a small luxury that quickly becomes part of the daily rhythm.

I chose to stay in the Beach Wing, preferring to be closer to the beach and the breakfast area. I wanted to select a ground floor room for the direct pool access but that option was not available when I made my reservation. This turned out to be a lucky break for me as I found that the ground floor rooms had a lot of people outside the doors, heading to breakfast or to the sea.

The East Wing, while across the road and away from the beach, has its own appeal. It tends to offer better value and is home to a wider range of room types. The design remains consistent across both wings, with a modern coastal design that leans on neutral tones, refined finishes and practical comfort. Rooms are spacious enough for a longer stay, with well-appointed bathrooms and small outdoor areas that add a sense of openness. Whether you are in the Beach Wing or across the road, the overall standard is consistent and well maintained.

The East Wing is just as quiet as the Beach Wing and I found the pool in the East Wing to be much better than the two smaller pools in the Beach Wing. Make sure to consider all these options when selecting your room and the side of the road where you will stay.

From the Beach Wing, access to the ocean is quick and easy. This section of Station 1 is widely considered one of the best on the island, with powdery white sand that stays cool underfoot, and a noticeably wider beach than other areas. The ocean here is typically calm, clear and gently sloping, making it ideal for swimming or simply standing in the water and watching the light shift across the horizon. It’s not a high-energy water sports zone, which adds to the sense of calm that defines this part of Boracay.

Despite the peaceful setting, you are not isolated. A short walk along the sand brings you into the more active areas of Station 2, where nightlife, shopping and a wider range of dining options are available. Being able to dip in and out of that energy is one of the key advantages of staying in Station 1. The resort is a short walk south to Willy’s Rock, one of the main attractions on Boracay. Further down the beach, towards the southern end of Station 1, you will find many of the famous Boracay sandcastles which you will visit often as you stroll around the island.

Dining at the resort is centered around its beachfront restaurant, which offers a mix of local Filipino dishes and international options. Breakfast is relaxed, with a buffet that caters to both Asian and Western tastes, while lunch and dinner lean more toward à la carte service. The setting, especially in the evening, is hard to beat. Tables near the beach allow you to dine with the sound of the ocean just a few meters away, and as the sun sets, the atmosphere becomes quietly memorable. I generally took up my table around 5PM, watched the sunset with a glass or two of white wine and then either stayed at the resort for dinner or wandered close to the hotel for other dining options.

Cocktails are best enjoyed overlooking the ocean, where the pace of the day naturally slows. This is not a party resort, and the drinks offering reflects that. Instead of loud music and crowds, you get a more understated yet refined experience where a well-made cocktail and a good view are all you really need. It fits perfectly with the overall tone of the property. Each evening, there are live singers to keep guests entertained. By the end of my 11 nights on Boracay I had pretty much memorized their strings of songs.

There is a small fitness center in the East Wing. While not extensive, the gym is perfectly adequate for maintaining a basic routine. Most guests, however, will find, much like I did, that long beach walks and time in the water replace the need for anything more structured. Additional services such as airport transfers, in-room dining and concierge support are handled efficiently, adding to the sense that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

Service throughout the resort is consistently strong. Staff are warm without being intrusive, attentive without being overbearing. Check-in and check-out processes are handled professionally. Housekeeping maintains high standards, with rooms being attended to twice per day, and any requests are typically dealt with quickly. Staff in the restaurant quickly learned my name and I was made to feel welcome at all times of the day, whether for the breakfast service or for my 5PM sundowners.

What makes this resort stand out is not any single feature but how everything comes together. The location, the layout, the quality of the rooms and the easy access to one of the best stretches of beach on the island all combine to create a stay that feels both comfortable and considered. The split design across the road may not suit everyone, but for many it becomes a minor detail once the rhythm of the place takes over.

For travelers who value a quieter setting without giving up convenience, this is an excellent choice. It captures a more relaxed side of Boracay while still allowing you to enjoy everything the island has to offer. In the end, it’s a place where days are shaped by the tide, the light and the simple pleasure of being close to the sea.

One lesson I learned from my arrival to Henann Prime Beach Resort: the hotel will have your reservation in their system and you should expect that they will arrange your boat transfer from Caticlan, for a fee that will be added to your account. I, however, pre-booked my transfer from Caticlan to Boracay with an independent operator which also worked out well. For my departure, I spoke to the front-desk at Henann Prime and arranged my transfer back to Caticlan through the hotel and everything ran smoothly despite me being the only passenger leaving the hotel at 5AM.

Overall I was very pleased with my selection of Henann Prime Beach Resort for my vacation to Boracay. The location in Station 1 is perfect, the famous and beautiful White Beach is on the doorstep of the resort and you will be treated to excellent dining options and service.

Enjoy your visit to beautiful Boracay.
